Are kiddos invited?Yes please! What should I know about the venue?We'll have our ceremony at <a href="https://persephonefarm.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Persephone Farm </a>- a beautiful flower farm up the street from our house that hosts one of the longest running CSAs in the country! We'll move down to the Indianola Clubhouse for dinner and dancing. You mentioned walking - and a parade! - how much walking should I expect?Wear comfy shoes! We're excited to share our town with you which includes a parade from the ceremony venue through the woods, past our house, and along the shore to the reception. The whole walk is about 3/4 mile, slightly downhill. What's this about swimming?In the summer you can often see bioluminescence in Indianola Bay - which is a truly magical experience! Once the sun goes down we will head to the dock, a short walk from the Clubhouse, for a swim (or hanging on the dock while others swim). We are excited to share this with you AND we totally get that many folks will head home before. It's optional :) What if I want to help?Yay - thank you!!! This is a community endeavor and we can't - and do want to - do it alone. We have a whole page about ways you can help! See here. A few examples are:* Bring a finger-food dish to share for the garden party before the reception.* Come the night before to help set up.* Help with a day-of job like directing traffic or liaising with our caterers.

Getting Here

Whether you're flying in from out of town or coming from Seattle or nearby, we want to help you navigate the way! We have tried to include helpful information below, but please don't hesitate to reach out for help with planning your trip. Below you'll find ferry options, plus guidance on getting here if you're flying in. FerriesSummer wait times to drive your car onto the ferry can reach 3 hours. We want you to make it to our wedding so it's a good idea to leave early if you're able (check out "Things to Do" and make it a day or a weekend) - and take a look at some of the alternative options laid out below. Edmonds &gt; Kingston FerryIf you don't want/need to have a car on the other side, we recommend parking in Edmonds and walking onto the Kingston ferry - there's no wait for walk ons. There's plenty of paid parking on the Edmonds side. We'll arrange a shuttle for you to get to Indianola. If you're driving on or walking on, in order to arrive in time for the ceremony you'll need to catch the 2:25 ferry. Seattle &gt; Bainbridge Island FerryDeparts from Coleman Dock in downtown Seattle. The 2:10 ferry is the latest ferry you should catch to make it in time - or come earlier and check out the Things to Do page! Note that we won't have a shuttle from Bainbridge, so walk-on passengers would need to arrange a carpool to our place. (See Carpool section.) Seattle &gt; Kingston Fast Ferry (Pedestrian Only)A fast ferry runs directly from Seattle to Kingston Monday through Saturday only. The last Saturday sailing is at 10:25 PM, and we'll arrange a shuttle for guests who want to take that boat. You could also stay until Monday or coordinate a carpool with guests taking the Bainbridge ferry the next day. (See <a href="#" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Carpool</a> section.) Flying InMost out-of-town guests will fly into SeaTac Airport. From there you can rent a car and drive to a ferry terminal, or take transit. Paine Field in Everett (Axel's hometown!) is another option, if you plan to rent a car. Getting to the Ferry from SeaTacBy car:1) Driving AroundIf you'd rather skip the ferry entirely, driving around is a solid option - it's predictable and often faster. From SeaTac, it's about 1 hour 30 minutes without traffic. You'll cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge (small toll). From the Seattle area, add your drive time to Tacoma. 2) Drive to Edmonds (~45 min without traffic) or Seattle (~30 min) and get on your preferred ferry. See the Ferries section above. 3) Ride the Link Light Rail to Pioneer Square Station, a few blocks from both Coleman Dock (Bainbridge Ferry) and the Kingston Fast Ferry terminal. 4) By shuttle - The Dungeness Shuttle runs directly from SeaTac to Kingston, with limited departure times. If you can make the timing work, we can get you the rest of the way from Kingston. Parking at the VenueParking is limited and some walking will be required. We'll send specific parking instructions once everyone has RSVPed and we can coordinate logistics. CarpoolingWe encourage carpooling! We have ample space at our house and at Persephone Farm for folks to camp! Campers will have access to bathrooms at our house and at the farm, and we will make showers available. If you are coming in from out of town and want to camp but need camping gear let us know - we have extras.

Rentals / Nearby Lodging

Most short term rentals in Indianola are already booked, but there are some in nearby Suquamish and Kingston. Also we are working on a few more local places to stay so please reach out if you are having trouble finding a place to stay.

Hotels

Poulsbo Inn and Suites is about a 17 minute drive to the venue, and will offer a van pool shuttle for our wedding guests. www.poulsboinn.com
